Fall Bus Trip to LaCrosse

Cost of $30 per person for Club Members

Cost of $35 per person for Non-Club People

Lunch is extra, on your own.

NOTE: Using a credit card will slow down the process of checking out as we learned from previous bus trips. We need to be on time for the scenic trip on the La Crosse Queen which is scheduled after our lunch.

Itinerary:

Leave Target parking lot at 7:30 a.m. and return between 5 to 6 p.m.

1. Visit there Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Beautiful gardens and chapels on the grounds. There is some uphill walking on a beautifully paved trail to the Shrine. Courtesy golf cart transportation is available.

2. Lunch at Three Rivers Restaurant at the Radisson overlooking the Mississippi River.

Lunch choice must be made at the time of your reservation. Beverage can be ordered at the restaurant. A gratuity of 20% will be added to each individual bill.  Your choices are:

      1. Margherita Flatbread- vegetarian- Basil oil, tomato, fresh             mozzarella cheese, arugula, balsamic glaze. $16.00

      2. Bountiful Salad - Garden greens, feta cheese, craisins,                 candied nuts, diced pears, tossed in a raspberry                           vinaigrette. $12.00

      3. Dynamite Chicken Sandwich - Toasted bun, grilled chicken           breast, bacon, arugula, American cheese, dynamite sauce           on the side. $18

       4. Three Rivers Cheese Burger - Toasted bun, Grilled burger patty.$17.00

3. Take a 1 1/2 hour sightseeing cruise of the Mississippi River on the La Crosse Queen.

4. Visit Riverside International Friendship Gardens. They have a Chinese garden, a French garden, a German garden, an Irish garden, a Norwegian garden and a Russian garden.

5. Scenic drive and stop to the La Crosse Bluffs overlooking the city of La Crosse and the Mississippi River.

6. Scenic ride back to Eau Claire with a stop at Nelson 's Creamery. Please bring cash.

NOTE: You MUST be registered online whether you pay by check or online. 47 seats available.

We prefer you pay by credit card, if you pay by check click invoice when you register.

We have a 47 seat capacity bus. Members will have a two week window to sign up and then it will be open to the Eau Claire Master Gardeners and other garden clubs.

I would suggest signing up for this bus trip quickly. Also, make a note of your lunch choice as a reminder for the day of the bus trip.

This will be a lovely trip enjoying the beauty of our spot in the world.
